Sammar Park SAMMs

South African Meat Merinos (SAMMs) are a dual purpose meat-wool sheep,(60:40 meat to wool). The breed was developed to produce a slaughter lamb at an early age as well as a good quality wool. They are characterised by their adaptability and hardiness. Samms are non-selective grazers, and the ewes have demonstrated excellent mothering qualities. They are highly fertile non-seasonal breeders and early maturing. This excellent dual purpose breed continues to impress.

Sammar Park is situated at Loomberah, just 20 minutes south of Tamworth, NSW. We got into SAMMs in early 2009 after a friend who had been shearing some SAMMs told us about them. We had a look and were immediately impressed by their size and temperament. We hope you can see the benefits of introducing our rams to your stock.
